Maybe you are one of the growing band of PC users who have never used DOS and perhaps think DOS died when Windows 95 & 98 arrived. Well, it didn't! This Introduction complements other Guides on this site where they refer to using DOS or Real Mode. It will reassure you that the bleak, black world of DOS is safe and simple to move about in, and explain the more useful commands. All sections apply to Windows 95 & 98, but not Windows ME or XP, though some commands can be run from their "Command Prompts".
